Besides adhering to the national bylaws and rules as outlined in the Chapter Manual, the Chicago Lincoln Park Chapter, Board of Directors, and Members may ratify more Bylaws and Standing Rules to aid in the business of the chapter.

 
GOALS
To empower individuals with hearing loss by instilling means of control in their lives and enabling them to participate successfully in mainstream society.
 
PURPOSE
The purpose of HLAA Chicago Lincoln Park Chapter is to carry out the mission, activities and programs of the national organization, Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA), at the local level.
 
MISSION
The Mission of the HLAA Chicago Lincoln Park Chapter is to open the world of communication to people with hearing loss through information, education support and advocacy.
 
CHAPTER FOCUS
The HLAA Chicago Lincoln Park Chapter will focus its programming, expenditures, events and efforts on improving accessibility and overall quality of life for working age adults with hearing loss.  The chapter will focus on and develop strategies of how to manage everyday life and communication through auditory means.  The HLAA Chicago Lincoln Park Chapter will also focus on maximizing the use of residual hearing with hearing aids, cochlear implants, and assistive listening devices to meet the unique communication needs of people that are hard of hearing.
